Pre-Strike® Mosquito Torpedo® is an easy and effective way to kill developing mosquitoes in standing water before they become breeding, biting adults. With just one bite, adult mosquitoes may transmit West Nile virus and other viruses that can cause encephalitis in both people and animals. They may also transmit heartworm disease to dogs and cats. Mosquito Torpedo® slowly and continuously releases an Insect Growth Regulator into water that prevents adult mosquito development for up to two months. For larger sites requiring application of two Mosquito Torpedoes, and additional package will be required for 300 day control. Mosquito larvae exposed to treated water will die in the pupa stage before they reach adulthood.
